Bridge is a dynamic, self-contained supportive program located within Burlington High School, Burlington, Massachusetts. The Bridge Program is designed to offer all students with emotional difficulties support and help developing coping mechanisms and skills in order to be more effective in educational settings. It is the aim of the Bridge Program to help these students achieve their individual goals and to access the curriculum.
The program offers countless beneficial supportive services to students and their families. The Bridge program utilizes a transdiagnostic lens when working with students. Students are explicitly taught coping skills utilizing CBT, DBT and ACT strategies. Bridge Teachers also offer students academic support in a caring and safe environment. Moreover, Bridge Teachers collaborate with both the Guidance and the Special Education Departments as well as work in conjunction with high school faculty, staff, and administration to set appropriate and attainable goals for individual students. |
